Terms of Use

1. What BetterZap is

BetterZap is a Chrome extension for scheduling messages, organizing contacts in a pipeline and creating batches of messages. It sends through WhatsApp Web open in your browser and does not use WhatsApp's official API. The optional panel on your phone lets you manage everything from there, but messages still go out only from your computer.

BetterZap is not affiliated with, sponsored by or approved by WhatsApp or Meta. WhatsApp is a trademark of its owners.

2. Risk to your number

WhatsApp prohibits automation and unofficial apps, and may restrict or ban accounts. BetterZap's spacing between sends and the free plan's daily limit reduce this risk but do not remove it, and sending more messages can raise it.

You use BetterZap at your own risk, and you understand that we may have no way to prevent or reverse a restriction on your number.

We are not responsible, under any circumstances, for WhatsApp accounts that are banned, suspended, restricted or blocked, or for any losses this causes, even if the account was affected during or after use of BetterZap.

3. How sending works

• Messages only send while Chrome is open and WhatsApp Web is connected. With the computer off or Chrome closed, nothing is sent and the message shows as late.
• BetterZap depends on WhatsApp Web, which we don't control and which can change without notice. When it does, the integration may break and be temporarily unavailable until we update the extension, and messages scheduled during that time may go out late or not at all.
• When we cannot confirm a send, we do not resend on our own so as not to duplicate it. Checking the chat is up to you.
• You should not use WhatsApp while a message is being sent.
• Auto-reply works under the same conditions: it only answers while Chrome is open and WhatsApp Web is connected, and each reply can take about a minute. It follows the flow you built, and it may misunderstand a message or fail to answer.

4. Your responsibilities

• Message only people who agreed to receive your messages, and stop when someone asks.
• Follow the laws that apply to you and your contacts, including data protection laws such as Brazil's LGPD and Europe's GDPR and the rules on commercial messages, as well as WhatsApp's terms and policies.
• Check phone numbers, texts and times before scheduling. You are responsible for the content you send, including what auto-reply sends through the flows you use.
• Keep your browser, computer and WhatsApp account secure.
• Keep copies of your data, since it lives only on your device (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Prohibited uses

• Sending spam, scams, fraud, threats, or content that is illegal or violates others' rights.
• Messaging people who did not agree to receive messages or have asked you to stop.
• Trying to get around BetterZap's or WhatsApp's sending limits.
• Copying, reselling or modifying the extension for purposes these terms do not allow.

6. Your data

Your data and your contacts' data remain yours. BetterZap keeps them only on your device, as the Privacy Policy explains.

7. No warranty and limit of liability

BetterZap is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors, that messages will go out at the scheduled time, or that they will reach the recipient.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost customers, profit or data, or for the ban, suspension or restriction of your WhatsApp account, as explained in section 2. Nothing here limits rights the law gives you as a consumer, or liability the law does not allow to be limited.

8. Paid plans

You can send up to 20 messages a day for free, and each message sent on the free plan ends with a line linking to BetterZap. Sending more, with no daily limit, requires an active weekly or monthly subscription, one day paid for once by card or Pix, or a period paid for with Pix (Pix in Brazil only). Auto-reply also requires one of these or the free trial: on the free plan it answers nobody. The Premium plan, as a monthly card subscription or 30 days paid for with Pix, also includes an AI chatbot, with up to 2,000 replies per calendar month on the subscription or in the 30 days paid for with Pix. After that, conversations come to you until the next month or the next payment. Premium's 30 days start when you pay, and any days you already have pick up when they end. The chatbot can make mistakes, and you are responsible for what it tells your clients. The price and payment method are shown before you pay. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it in your account, and access continues until the end of the paid period. Periods paid for with Pix do not renew by themselves. An account that has never paid can start one 7-day free trial with no daily limit. The trial asks for no card and leads to no charge: when it ends, the account goes back to the free plan unless you choose to subscribe.

You can change your mind and get your money back within 7 days of a subscription's first payment, or of paying once for a period. Just write to contato@betterzap.app from your account's email. We refund the full amount through the same payment method, and paid access ends when the refund is made. Subscription renewals are not refunded, but you can cancel at any time to avoid the next charge.

Referrals: every account has a referral link. A new account created from that link gets a 30-day free trial instead of the 7-day one, on the same terms. When the referred account first pays for a month or more (a monthly subscription, Premium or 30 days by Pix), whoever referred it gets 30 days with no daily limit, about a week after the payment. If the payment is refunded within that time, nobody earns anything. The 30 days start after whatever you already have; on a card subscription, the next charge moves 30 days later. Each referred account counts once, and each account earns at most 12 times in 12 months. The days have no cash value and only include the Premium chatbot on a Premium card subscription, whose charge is the one that moves. Accounts created only to earn days, or referring yourself, don't count, and we may remove days earned that way. We may change or end referrals for people not yet referred, and a reward already under way is kept.

9. Changes and ending use

We may change BetterZap and these terms. For important changes, we will tell you inside BetterZap. Continuing to use it after the notice means you accept the new version.

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the extension. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription: to stop the charges, cancel it in your account. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. For consumers, the courts of your place of residence apply, and nothing here takes away consumer protections that the law of the country where you live does not allow to be set aside.
