WhatsApp follow-ups for resellers
Updated:
If you sell over WhatsApp, a lost sale is often just a conversation that scrolled out of sight. A follow-up date on each client, and a message scheduled ahead of time, keeps those conversations from going quiet.
Three follow-ups worth scheduling
- After a quote: a short check-in a few days later, while the client is still deciding.
- After a delivery: ask how it went, which also opens the door to the next order.
- Before they run out: if the product gets used up, write around the time they'll need more.
Sample messages
Hi {name}! Did you get a chance to look at the quote I sent? I can answer any questions.
A pipeline you'll actually use
Start with a few stages, such as Interested, Quote sent, Bought and Buy again. Drag each client along as things move, add a note about what they buy, and set the date of the next follow-up. Clients who are overdue appear first on the Follow-ups screen.
One person at a time
You can schedule several messages at once, but each goes to one person, with gaps between sends. That's deliberate: BetterZap has no CSV import or broadcast feature. If you need to send one offer to a large list, look at the official API, where recipients must have opted in.
Before you rely on this
- BetterZap sends only while Chrome is open and WhatsApp Web is connected. If the computer is off at the scheduled time, nothing goes out, and the message shows as Late until you decide what to do.
- It's made for one message to one person. Only message people who agreed to hear from you.
Try it on your own number
BetterZap is free for up to 20 messages a day, and your contacts stay in your browser.
